She was hemming up a dress that was to be worn in "Annie Get Your Gun." I don't recall how long I had known Grandma Marsee (I was 7, that's what I called her and still do). I remember.....Well, I remember so very much. Most of all, I remember the love. I remember the mentoring. I carry that with me every day and I try to pass it on to everyone I meet.
I believe this will be the Marsee's 35 year with YTHC. They have dedicated there lives to the youth of Hardin County. There are so many of us that owe them much more than gratitude.
I know I owe them a bit of everything, everything that I am.
Triniti Grimes-PerkinsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5747432607353346878.post-56653199108721566752008-07-22T07:20:00.000-07:002008-07-22T07:20:00.000-07:002008-07-22T07:20:00.000-07:00Well, we closed the show Saturday night. My daughter, Jordan Ellis-Reeves, was the eggbeater, tree, and a villager. As a parent I got to help with the show. It was tiring at times but very enjoyable and I was glad I got to do it and be of help. I saw the show five times and enjoyed it every time. I have known Bill and Betty Marsee for several years and always wondered how they have kept doing this for so long, and even when there was times that they did not have family members in the show. Once you see these kids and how talented they are, you can understand how they have done it for 35 years. You have to nudge yourself when you see them perform and realize that they are kids between the ages of 12 to 18 years of age. Another asset is that they get to perform at the PAC which is a top notch theatre. I can't wait till next year's show. Don't miss it!!!!Bruce Reevesnoreply@blogger.com
